About Pablo's Paintworks

Pablo (Paul) Howden launched Pablo’s Paintworks over 15 years ago. Since then he has been consistently busy with a wide range of restoration work, kitchen renovations, joinery spraying and more.

Pablo had worked in shop fitting and gained valuable skills and experience over his initial 5 years in this area, until that business expanded into joinery at the cost of losing its busy finishing division. This change, however, created an opportunity for Pablo and with the promise of ongoing work and encouragement for his well-recognised expertise, he took steps to create “Pablo’s Paintworks”, providing stunning restoration work and a wider range of related services for both individuals, businesses, and as contract work for the Canterbury region.

Our recent work at Pablo’s Paintworks has included multiple jobs for the EQC and for clients who have had damage to their homes or businesses as a direct result of the Christchurch earthquakes. Repairs have included shop fit-outs, repairing and re-finishing furniture, wooden bench tops, repainting kitchens, entertainment units, book cases, mirror frames, interior and exterior doors and more.

A lot of the work that we are asked to do is for alteration and repainting to be done alongside Earthquake repair work as a way of providing a fresh new home environment, repaired and enhanced with our customers’ personal tastes in colour and style.

Pablo says his love for what he does is consistently rewarded by the satisfaction of his customer’s reactions to a completed job. His passion is in giving items new life, being involved in the regeneration or rebirth of an old entity and making it anew.

Pablo enjoys each challenge of improving a home or business environment, whether it be through a treasured piece of furniture being restored to its original beauty, or the complete fit-out of a new kitchen. We have the experience to provide expert advice on any job big or small, so contact us today.
